Moses answered, " What if they do not believe me or listen to me and
say that the Lord did not appear to you"
Then the LORD said to Moses, "What is that in your hand?"
"A staff he replied".
The Lord commanded, " Throw it to the ground. It became the
serpent."
Moses shrank back afraid.
Then the Lord beckoned, " Reach out by your hand and take it by the
tail."
So he reached out and took hold of the serpent and it became a "STAFF"
in his "Hands"
"This" proclaimed the LORD, "is so that they Believe". Exodus
4:1onwards.

The Swan Serpent
coiled on rainbow feathers
fusing its known art;
The maze of Moses
Was the hiding of art!
The conductor struck
and inspired afflatus,
unknown to the hand
of the coiled.
The coloured recoiled
within the hand
The finale was
the applause,
the sign in the Staff,
of the Spirit's Grandeur
And the Music.
