More difficult times, does it ever end? This time the guidance that has
come in from our spiritual Teachers and inspired writing points us to a
change in direction, a hardening of the traditional roles and (another)
change in focus. It seems as if there is no one right way, that all the
time we are trading a (supposedly) spiritual path nothing is easy and
it feels lonely and desolate more often than it feels full of
companionship and light.
At times it feels as if the trap may be self-delusion, that our stated
belief that the power of the mind and positive thinking, aligned with
living our lives in accordance with our values, is the key to
success.
At the same time we are dealing with the need for more time, space and
reflection while needing to maintain, if not increase, our income
because of the
absolute failure of insurance policies and saving schemes to deliver.
It feels that we are at the end of 15 - 20 years of feathering other
people's nests, while they have been busy whittling down their promises
and commitments to us?.
"Does it all come down to belief?
Belief in the guidance you seek and receive?
Belief in yourself?
Belief in others?
Belief is the engine of progress.
It creates a pathway and clears the rubble.
It is the glucose in your body.
That spark of curiosity in your mind that leads you onward.
Belief is what stands beside you on a dark night.
But it is not a yoke around your neck.
It is upliftment, not depression,
It helps you carry your load, not adds to it.
But it is created and sustained only by your energy.
Remove that energy and your belief will fade as quickly as the morning
dew.
Maintain and increase that energy.
And your belief will be your companion on a life beyond your
imagination, and certainly far beyond your expectations."
