Dear Auntie

Dear Auntie Rose,

Today it is 3 days before Christmas and as usual I had to do some
busketing to afford a stamp to send you this. This year has reminded me
of yet another cruel world I live in and I don't see much point in
living no more. Please can I come and live with you. This Christmas
will be lonelier than last as my good friend Lillie died last week of
starvation and I'll probably be next. Once I get enough money I am
getting a one way ticket to Birmingham where the money is supposed to
be good. You may think I was foolish leaving home because of a big
fight but father shouldn't have done what he did. Also I will not go to
a shelter for homeless people, as I believe I have my rights even
though a nice, comfortable bed would be nice. But at Christmas they let
us have a proper Christmas dinner for free, which will be better than
the usual things I find in the bins.
