The Eagle and the hare
As I sit and breathe in the mountain air and watch an eagle circle for
a hare,
I relax in my chair and rest with out a care,
A week's hard work is done,
Now all I want to do is survey the wondrous view,
I watch a stag climb the craggy hillside,
I see sheep grazing peacefully
I wonder at the vibrant colours of the mountainside in bloom,
All this makes me feel at home.
I can here the rustle of leaves in the trees and the babble of the
stream,
I've even seem pink salmon leaping sending up a sparkling spray on a
midsummer's day.
Man can do amazing things,
Except recreate what I see and feel,
As I sit and breath in the mountain air and watch an eagle circle for a
hare.
