You were my best friend,
Someone to be there until the end,
We both decided to go out,
Not knowing what our quest was all about,

We had tried this love thing before,
Only to find that after 6 months it could last no more,
This time I knew it would last for ever,
But this would be a hard endeavor,

After one day you broke my heart,
We didn't even get a chance to start,
You claimed that we were moving too fast,
And that you were still hurting from things in the past,

Now I feel the sting of pain,
As I loose my best friend and my boy friend and stand in the
rain,
As I cry and struggle to breath I run to my friends embrace,
She dries the tears from my face,

I still love you and I don't want to loose you,
A best friend should not be lost from what we tried to do,
Why would you ask me out for one day,
And play with my heart that way,

The sting of pain will always be there,
Yet I know that you will always care,
We are better friends but I still love you,
If we try it again let me prove what I can do.
