Appreciation of a voice (Jeff Buckley)

- 497 reads
orotund when animated;
yet like a silver thread spun
between delicate fingers - changeable to say the least
loud? very loud
but seductively soft in whispery waves, staves, octaves:
sighing, flying,
crying.
distressed at best, strained;
like angel moodswings reaching
into celestial space.
heaven delivers
each sound with grace,
mellowed and rich, like
a fine wine in summer:
magniloquent,
gloriloquent, and resonant.
only tuneful Apollo could hope to match the
exberance;
the sinfonietta reminiscent of rivers, streams,
trickling perfectly,
purposeful.
a raw pearl, whole and pure:
beauty forever glowing.
