Planet Earth
Goddess of Moonlight, God of Sun
Gaze down on what we have become
We bicker and fight, we kill and maim
Can things ever be the same again?
You created a haven, a living place
And set it in the vastness of space
A glowing Pearl in a sea of stars
This wonderful Planet Earth of ours
But look what we've done with this haven of ours
The landscape butchered and full of scars
So many creatures are no longer here
And extinction for many more very near
Man has lost his way, he no longer heeds
The majesty and wisdom of ancient trees
He no longer hears their cries of pain
When felled, they lie where fallen, slain
Mountains, rivers, lakes and streams
Now stained and tainted, poisons unseen
Meadows burned and forests felled
Into barren wasteland it all melds
All creatures flee and live in fear of us
The places they lived reduced to dust
Their young suffocated by the ash of war
Can it ever return to as it was before?
Man turns bitter, evil, twisted, cruel
They see only the profit, not the jewel
Don't care if they destroy the place we live
They are only willing to take not give
There are so few believers left to tend
And so many scars that need to mend
Can we not see the destruction wrought
Or listen to the lessons we are being taught
Goddess of Moonlight, God of Sun
Gaze sadly down on what we have become
We can only pray for a Spiritual rebirth
To save your jewel, our Planet Earth
