I wish you had grown old,
I loved the stories that you told,
When they made you they broke the mould!

I wish you'd have lived to see your child's eyes,
And lay with me under blue skies.

I wish I could have just one more chance,
To see you laugh and do that silly dance!

Now all I have are memories,
Of your beautiful light,
And cold cold lonely nights,

I wish I could turn back time,
And put things right,
But it's not be,
For the heavens above,
Took you from me.
