Dialogues from a stranger.
Da Vinci clouds came staggering, friend
When we parted worlds and words and went
Like heaven unearthed,
white gold spilled across the blue above
Where I, friend, sat alone and wondered
Whether you felt the words we shared,
now starved of breath
Well up inside you,
till frustration tempts sweat to your forehead,
a job forgotten? A call unanswered?
Or just Words unspoken to people unseen
A monkey in new shoes, that's me, my friend.
as I picture my heaven spent angels cursing
Through a kaleidoscope of sacred smiles
Im a shaved ape armed with a metaphor, friend
As I picture my hell-worn devils praying
Through a stormy mosaic of seething tiles
Da Vinci clouds were crowded out
Last night, as I smoked alone
Pushed and pulled by moonstruck waves
Down a strangers road, an unknown lane
As the bruised, crushed fluff above
threatened to shed its woes.
Da Vinci clouds have escaped me, friend
And strange faces become sane
I'm a smiling stranger, on an alien bed
Yet people know my name.
