Fading Away

I always knew that one day i'd lose you
But nothing prepared me for how i'd feel
My heart felt like it had been ripped in two
And the day you left, my soul died.

I never had chance to say 'Goodbye'
Just had to imagine you packing your bags
And waving 'Farewell' to your family
While I sat head in hands and let the tears flow.

From that moment I existed, not lived
Faded away under everyone's noses
Cried myself to sleep until even the tears were worn out
And then I just lay and let myself fade away.
