Pain

The mind hallucinates
Pain wrecks the body
Heart feels like it's bursting
Eyes feel they are coming out of the socket

Yes, psychosomatic they may be
But, they feel real
The beauty of the world
Eludes me

Mind-blowing pain
Sleep eludes me
Not even a straw to grasp
Let alone a woman's breast to rest my head

Pills strewn all over the place
Can't remember which is for which symptoms
Ah, just swallow them all up
Ah, the window is nearby

But, only on the first floor
Can't do that just yet
Lest I get charged for attempted suicide
And get disabled for life
