Fly Away

The chains jammed tight,
There's no escape.
They blocked out my light,
I can only wait.
The bars surround me,
I feel so small.
I try to fly up,
but im scared that i'll fall.
My strength is fading,
I've been trapped here so long,
I can't even remember where i belong.
I long to be free,
To stretch out my wings,
To touch the impossible
and reach my goal,
To feel what its like to be a free living soul.
