That poem you sent;
the one that cured me
of my temporary
mania,
read it to me will
you? For I want to
be reminded of
your
saving me.
Thank you for that, though
now I can't stand the
sight of your shifting
mouth and lips
as they carve a gash
in those hallowed words.
You had no idea
after all
how it was for me -
so obvious now
as you read the
melody
out of tune. Never
mind. Who said it was
our song anyway?
