Snow White Queen
Long sun-kissed hair was fanned over the frozen white ground like a halo while glazed hazel eyes stared ahead. Her ivory white dress was stained with crimson blood.
She whimpered, not having the strength to utter a word. Simply uttering the noise made her feel as if someone was burning her alive. At least that would be a quicker way to go than this way. She closed her eyes in despair and glistening teardrops fell. The teardrops froze even before they reached the snow covered ground.
This is how it would end. After all this time, this is how she would go.
This was supposed to be the greatest day of her life. They were going to get married; they were finally going to get married. She was supposed to become Rose Smith today. Her life would have been intertwined with John today; they should have been exchanging their vows, the vows they fought so hard to get to.
But now she would never be there. Her John, her precious John would think she jilted him. Thinking about it simply made her sob more. The movement only increased the pain on her abdomen.
“It didn’t have to end this way,” deep, masculine voice spoke up.
His silhouette covered her; he loomed over her like the Reaper himself. With jet-black hair, black jeans and long black jacket he blended in with the night. The only shed of colour in him was only his crystal blue eyes.
Breathing heavily, Rose glared at James with pure hatred in her eyes. The man who was her supposed brother. Brothers are meant to cherish and protect their siblings. He, he did not deserve the title of being a brother. He destroyed that title when he took his feelings to a whole new level.
“You…disgust…me” Rose said it breathily.
At her statement, James’s eyes darkened and he hovered over her and pushed the dagger even more inside her abdomen. She cried out-loud and sobbed even more.
Remorse flashed in his eyes but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Cold blue eyes glared at her. He let go off the dagger and trailed his finger down her cheek, caressing her affectionately.
“You could have had everything with me but you choose him, I loved you.”
“If you had loved me then you wouldn’t be killing me.”
Still staring at her with contempt he spoke up.
“You belong to me, no one else. But you couldn’t accept that could you? You deserve this. You brought this on to yourself.”
With what little strength she had, she took a deep breathe and then spit on his face.
He barely even flinched at that. He leaned towards her and then forcefully laid a kiss on her non-responsive lips. Once he pulled away, he got up, turned around and walked away.
He drowned out her cries by humming a merry tune.
And darkness enveloped her.
