Petals

Petals firm, stem straight,
Happy, smiling, in love.
Kind words, beautiful gestures.
Big nose, no fun,
An embarrassment,
'Nobody else would have you'
Stem bent, petals fall,
Kind words no more
Pain, anger, doubt, dread.
You walk past the window.
Knock knock
door unlocked
See it in your eyes,
ready to erupt.
'I can't stand you'
'It's all you're fault'
'No one likes you'
Stem snapped, Petals turn black.
Lost, lonely, ashamed.
Broken, empty, nothing.
'You're a cancer'
'Go kill yourself'
'I hate you'
Empty, scared, empty.
Hate, empty, scared.
Destruction, control, more destruction.
Stem where? Petals gone.
No more, no more, no more,
Im Done.

Hello, welcome to ABC Tales.
Hello, welcome to ABC Tales.
A very effective metaphor conveying the pain, and the horror and misery of rejection. It's sad to think there are so many broken flowers out there.
