How do you write something that's perfectly in tune with you without
isolating everyone else-your potential audience??
I suppose you start with the truth....that's always hard to find.
A search that all can relate to at one time in their lives.
Truth - once seized upon virtuously, often forgotten and
discarded.
Easier to hide. Then you never have to fear exposure.
How many people really enjoy stripping off and dancing bare bummed in
the street?
We may sing about it with reckless joy, but is it a sight we seriously
expect or want to see through our front room window.....and would we
have the guts to try it?????
Even at night, when we throw our inhibitions away with a squirt of
perfume and a microscopic mini, do we ever feel comfortable enough to
do absolutely...ANYTHING!!?
Those who dare to be one of the few are often laughed down from their
high by others who feel it is their job to ensure that all are abiding
by the unwritten rules.
This is how you should behave and if you want a nice simple life caked
in makeup and weighed down with 9in torture heels, where movements are
subtle and barely noticeable and being expressive consists of drunkenly
snogging as many blokes as possible, then you may just fit into that
reassuring cage they call NORMAL!
If not, then you might as well give up now, because you're a lost cause
in their eyes and don't you know it.
The truth is always hard to face.
