The Whispers of Citizen X
I lie here in expectation of my civil rights to be undertaken,
of my regious beliefs to be upheld, where immoral judgements are repelled.
Where a hand of Friendship is something offered, not in deceit but with honour
and the kind words spoken that cause such pain, filled with pity and said in vain,
can be replaced by a different sort, words of comfort and unyeilding support.
I desire to be helped by a friend, who could bring my grief and suffering to an end,
but friends these days are seldom there, especially those who truly care.
The world has moved on and found its place no longer occupied by a civil race.
People today are absent minded, they take their pleasure where-ever they find it,
self-indulgance is a ticket to freedom, but you go on your own to that empty kingdom.
i see all although i have no choice, i closed my eyes then heard a voice.
'Take a look son, observe all, the people, the greed, the devils call.'
Whispers i say they come in my ear, they don't go away they always come here.
So i sit and i look, i watch and i learn. I make a note of the things people yearn
and at the end of the day when all have went home, i may be alone but i'm not on my own.
