Down at the beach

The suns on my face,
There's sand in my shoes
My hearts singing happy songs
Instead of the blues
The beach is a fun place,
With castles and shells
Sometimes I come here,
Just for the smells
There's sunscreen and tan oil
The smell of the sea
And the smell of the ice cream
That's dripping on me
There are boats in the water
And fisherman too
There's a little girl crying
Cos she needs the loo
There are blankets and towels
And buckets and spades
The suns really bright
But I've got my shades
With cricket and footy
To name but a few
You could fall asleep
If there's nothing to do
You can run in the sand
And swim in the sea
You can bury your brother
Like when he was three
The beach is a fun place
With so much to do
I wish you were here
So I could kiss you
