Change

Everything changes I suppose. Friends, neighbours, schools, me. But
why? Is there not a point in time, not one point when everyone can
honestly say?I'm happy, lets leave things the way they are. I suppose
with the number of people in this world that's a very unlikely thing to
happen; you can never please everybody.
But change is a good thing though, it must be. Without change we would
not progress and learn, meet new people and see new places. Change is
what makes life exciting?but it's also what makes it so
frightening.
Throughout our childhood people come and go, we move through schools as
we grow older, make friends and then lose contact with them. Even our
home lives change. If anything were to stay stable and consistent, to
allow us to become stable and consistent adults you'd think it would
have to be the home life. However, that's what changes the most, and
that's also what changes us the most. Parents devorcing, remarrying;
siblings arguing with mothers, leaving; moving house, surroundings
changing; Although if we don't experience any of these things, or much
worse, we are considered 'sheltered' and 'na?ve' about the world, which
is probably true. So...how do any of us have a chance?
Without change life would be meaningless, but with it, it can be so
painful. Who doesn't wish they could go back to a time in their lives
when everything seemed to be right, seemed to be perfect? I know I
do.
