I have a tear that is leaving my eye,
i take a deep breath, out comes a sigh.
My tear is falling, it trickles down my face,
i want to see you to know you are safe.

I lift my hand and wipe away the tear,
i remember the times when you were near.
I close my eyes and think of you,
my heart it aches, if only you knew.

I want a sign, a sign of hope,
i want a sign so that i can cope.
I imagine your voice, your gentle touch,
i want to scream out, i love you so much.

Love has kept this family as one,
you gave so much to everyone.
Love is what we both felt,
we coped with life and the hand it dealt.

When you look around you must be proud,
the adults laughing, the children loud.
Your family together, i can see your smile,
you know you will see us in a little while.

My tears are done, my face is dry.
i'm not trying to say it's the last time i'll cry
and i know my life will not be the same
but it won't be long till we meet again.
