Waiting

I watch the minutes pass away,
And I wait,
I gaze upwards from where I lay,
And still I wait,
I wait for life,
I wait for death,
I wait for more,
But it becomes less and less,
I wait for sunshine,
I wait for rain,
I wait for a time,
Which will never be the same,
I wait in the morning,
I wait in the day,
And when it becomes late,
I wait to wait...yet again.
