TOON MOON JUNGLE MARRIAGE PARTY

Tweeny Squirrel was the darling of all the animals of the TOON MOON
JUNGLE. She was such a cute little thing. She looked so beautiful in
the three permanent stripes on her back, the small cute face with those
small teeth and those tiny jutting out ears. Her bushy tail could
remind anyone of the beautiful flower on the bottlebrush tree.

Tweeny was very obedient. She was very softhearted, very helpful, calm
and quiet and was never up to any mischief. Tweeny respected all the
elders of Toon Moon Jungle. As she had grown up, her parents decided to
get her married soon. So now she knew that she would have to leave her
home and go away to her new house after she got married. Thinking about
all this she used to feel very sad.

At last Tweeny"s parents fixed up the day for her marriage. As Tweeny
was everyone's favourite, all the animals of the jungle decided to
arrange such a party for Tweeny's marriage that it would remain in the
minds of all those who attended it as one of the memorable parties of
Toon Moon Jungle.

When Tweeny had been born, she had been her parent's favourite. But
very soon Trunky Tusky Elephant became her godfather. Since that day
Trunky had decided that he would take all the responsibilities of
Tweeny's marriage. Both Trunky and Tweeny were very much attached to
each other. Tweeny would run up and down the huge body of Trunky and go
on playing as though it was a beautiful playfield for her. While all
the young ones of the jungle were afraid of Trunky, they thought Tweeny
to be very lucky to be able to go so near to Trunky.

Trunky was very excited. When Tweeny's parents announced the date of
her marriage. Trunky went to Tweeny's house to talk to her parent's. He
said, "Both of you need not worry about the arrangements of Tweeny's
marriage. I am taking all the responsibility. You just point out to me
if I leave out anything in the arrangement. Even you can tell me if you
want any additions to it. I will make this occasion a memorable one for
all of us."

Tweeny's parents were very happy. Her father said, "Thank you so much
Trunky. Now I feel so relaxed. I know you can get the work done in a
proper manner."

"O don't be silly," said Trunky. "Only a few days are there. Let me
hurry up and start with the work." So saying Trunky left, to meet the
other animals, to allot to them their responsibilities. While on his
way, Trunky thought of those days he had spent with Tweeny.Every
morning he would be at Tweeny's house and call out to her, "Tweeny are
you ready. Come on lets go." At once Tweeny would come out, sit on his
back and both of them would wander about the jungle. They would chat
and roam about for a long time. God alone knows what they talked about.
They also took some rest and then would be back home. While sitting on
Trunky's back Tweeny would run from one side to another and would be
stuttering in a loud tone which showed how happy she was. When Trunky
felt an itching sensation, Tweeny would scratch that part with her
small sharp nails and Trunky would feel very comfortable. Both of them
would go down to the river, Tweeny perched on Trunky's back and spend a
lot of time in the water. Tweeny would also run up and down the big
trees. Suddenly Trunky's thoughts halted when he reached his house. He
now felt that there was no room for thoughts but a lot of work to do.
He sat down the whole day and made out his work list.

From the next day Trunky became very busy. He went to Chirpy Bird and
allotted him his duty. Trunky said, "Chirpy dear, for Tweeny's marriage
you are to make her dress. You take the help of the other birds and
collect colourful flowers and make the bridal dress for her. It should
indeed be a very pretty one. You and your friends are to shower
colourful petals during the marriage. Hope to get the best out of you."
So saying Trunky moved on.

He stopped next at the door of Bumble Bee.Trunky called out, "Hey
Bumble, are you there at home."

"Yes Trunky, just a minute," and out came Bumble. "Ay Trunky, what's
the matter."

"Bumble, I have come to you for some help. You know Tweeny is getting
married. I am going to entrust you with some work. You and your
friend's will be in charge of the music. All of you should hum some
sweet music and Chirpy Bird and his friends are going to help you. Hope
you will do your best." So saying Trunky went away.

Next Trunky met Hooty Owl. He told Hooty, " Dear you are to keep watch
over the whole area during Tweeny's marriage." Hooty felt very proud
for being given a responsibility. Hooty said, "Trunky you have given me
a responsibility, I will put in my best efforts." Trunky felt very
happy on hearing this from Hooty.

The responsibility for the sweets was given to Billy Willy Bear.Crooky
Crocodile's work was a bit hard one. Crooky was to help those who came
from the other shore of the river, make for them a safe travel by
carrying them on his back, from one side to another. Cunny Jackal,
Tally Wally Giraffe, Grunty Pig, Swifty Deer, Fasty Horse, Grumpy
Donkey and Jumpy Monkey were given the charge for making the
arrangements of the food for the marriage guests. Next, Trunky went to
give special invitation to Sheru Lion who was the king of the jungle.
After that he went to invite Roary Tiger who was also an important
member of the jungle. All the other members of the Toon Moon Jungle
were cordially invited by Trunky for Tweeny's marriage.

At last the day came. Tweeny looked very beautiful in her colourful
floral dress. Sly Wly Fox was the Priest for the occasion. Thus Tweeny
got married to Tweedy Squirrel. The birds showered colourful petals and
there was a lot of dance and music. The party was a grand success.
Everything went off smoothly.

The time came for Tweeny to bid good-bye to her parents, her godfather
Trunky and to all the animals of the jungle. There was a lot of
shedding of tears and at last Tweeny was on her way with her husband
Tweedy for her new home. Trunky stood there, watching Tweeny until his
eyes could no longer catch sight of her. He felt very sad and trudged
his way home.

For a couple of days, Trunky kept himself at home. He did not speak nor
meet anyone and also did not come out of his house. He missed Tweeny
but after some days he overcame this and behaved normally. All the
animals of the Toon Moon Jungle were very happy that they could enjoy
such a lot during Tweeny's marriage. They were full of praise for all
the arrangements of Tweeny's marriage. All the credit went to
Trunky.This remained a memorable occasion for all the members of the
TOON MOON JUNGLE for days to come.
