F-GRANDMA'S DENTURE.

Grandma's denture,
Is a magical wonder,
Sometimes its inside her mouth,
And sometimes its out, to wander.
The denture's wandering place,
Is so very different,
From Granny's mouth it goes for a roam,
To a small water-place.
Some year's back,
Granny used to cry out in pain,
That her teeth gave her this trouble,
Was her complaint.
It were those years,
When her teeth began to disappear,
One here and one there,
Showing her patchy gum.
In those past years,
Her teeth lost their gloss and shine,
And some had broken edges,
Of the like found having gone through the weathering process.
Trouble arose,
When she could chew her food very less,
Then all the food placed before her,
Seemed to be a healthy mess.
Her gums now looked like,
As though they needed repair,
And her jigsaw puzzle smile,
Told her teeth-gum story of despair.
So Grandma made a few visits,
To the Dentist there,
And sat upon the dentist's chair,
To make good the repair.
God alone knows,
What happened at the Dentist's,
Whether it was magic or a care,
That brought back Grandma's new denture like a nightmare.
She no longer cried out of pain,
Her teeth regained their shine,
They got back their shape,
And Grandma ate her food to her heart's content.
The funniest thing was that,
No doubt Grandma had got back all her teeth,
But they were not her own and they came out of her mouth,
For their own need and rest.
Every night they needed a good day's rest,
And so Grandma had to take them out of her mouth,
Into a bowl of water,
To keep them clean and ready for the next day's use.
