'Housewife', what does it imply,
A typical name of a jobless married woman,
Found in Indian households.

She is branded,
And ushered before all,
As an efficient manager of the entire household.

She is typified because,
She looks after all,
Keeping aside all her goals.

If you see her from close quarters,
You will find,
She is not typical but one of her kind.

All the good qualities are
Imbibed in her,
Yet she is common before the world.

She is bound to the household,
Because duty binds her,
Otherwise she can go out and explore the world.

She lacks not in knowledge
Nor in efficiency,
She can be an asset wherever she is ledged.

Silently from her closed quarters,
She explores the world in her typical way,
To achieve her much thought of goal.

Her deeds bring in praises,
Which raises,
Her mind and spirit to work more.

Her qualities are unlimited and she knows,
Alone she can make it,
If not given proper support.

She prays to the Almighty to give her strength,
For the housewife does not lose heart,
Because she knows she can achieve her goal.
