Connection
Years of love and warmth,
Soft caresses, kisses and smiles,
Had been laid along the path,
On which I had tread.
So much of give and take,
Pleasure and sorrow paved along,
Never had the thought bitten the mind,
That moving along could cause blight.
One day a storm came by
And blocked the path that I moved on
Lot of hurdles came my way
The leaps to cross them were hard.
Ripened with age I stood there,
No shrieks, no cries, no gains,
Packed my bag and stepped out,
Snapping off the 'connection'.
