THIS TRIBAL GIRL
That simplicity repeatedly,
Flashes back in my mind,
That innocent face,
Of this typical tribal girl.
Her eyes gleamed with radiance,
Showing off the hidden innocence,
Her charming smile
Was enchanting and full of glee.
The tone of her skin,
Was dark with rare brilliance,
But it was so smooth,
A type that was rare.
Her hair was tied up,
In a typical knot,
Something different and unusual,
Typical and common of her tribal race.
The saree she adorned,
Covered up her modesty and shame,
Laying bare her right shoulder,
But her bosom taken care not to bare.
Her covering reached below her knees,
Showing out her shapely figure,
Her legs lay bare,
But spoke as if to run here and there.
Her hair knot looked beautiful,
With the silver hair clip,
On her nose she wore,
A beautiful silver nose ring.
The dangling silver earrings,
Jostled with her shake,
Her neck did not lie bare
As the silver necklace hung there.
Her body was decked with jewellery,
Which she wore here and there,
Her arms wore the armlets,
And her hands wore the bangles,
Her fingers wore the rings,
And the waistband was round her waist.
She wore anklets for her ankles,
And toe rings for her toes,
All this silver jewellery,
Was such a simple graceful share.
She was such an uncommon sight,
Of innocence and grace before my eyes,
That her picture remained in my mind,
To come out in words to write.
She seemed to me,
As a rare creation,
A unique combination of
Simplicity, innocence, beauty and grace
