Poetic drivel

Where is the truth in a truism?
Nobody believes the same.
A fact is a fact, as long as it lacks,
Anybody to deny the claim.
There is no truth in reality?
Nobody believes the claim.
Reality is perception, or deception,
Which too often is the same.
Where is the truth in a poem?
Especially one so succinct.
A poem may rhyme, all of the time,
And hopefully will make you think!
