Irony

Caught
In between want and need
Desires are consuming
Necessities are essential
Money can only provide
So much as to fuel one
Desire dies in place of need
Work
To pay our way and enjoy life
Bills need payment in order to live
Fun costs if you want it
Cash is only paper and metal
Paper costs money to produce
Metal costs to mine
Simple
Pleasures are apparently free
Life however is not
We are born with nothing
Shall die with nothing
And yet we strive to earn
Are lives are uphill struggles
Searching
For better jobs with more money
Our spiritual purpose in life
Trying to have the best materially
Wanting to reach mystical enlightenment
Ridding ourselves of possessions
Is the way to find the Divine
Life
Is easy in its purest form
Yet we never call it that
We crave for total simplicity
Yet always create more intricacy
Thriving on gossip and rumour
Yearning for honesty
Humans
Make more contradictions
Kill each other for no reason
Crave love from others
But hate those who are different
Create boundaries for themselves
Desire freedom from restriction
