Milky white orbits darkened eyes

stony stare falls placidly on shined shoes

one in a crowd of uniformity

fear the command not, but the loss of life without

A memory of light hiding inside

choices deemed wise have savaged skies

always listening to the voices outside

for satisfaction has been judged and is not

Strivings cease and work is done 

sun glints harshly on wearied eyes

but the memory has retreated beyond the mind

crowd blends all to one and is reflected in unshed tear
