The Sea

The evening is still,no wind is stirring
Yet the sea is moving
Silently breathing
Untiring and never-ending
Not pausing for a moment
Gently, slowly rising and falling
Like the breast of a baby sleeping
What makes it move?
Can it ever be still?
Has it a heartbeat?
Wold it like to stop?
Will it go on forever?
The same water, moving, moving
Is it eternity here in the now?;
