Sometimes I look at someone
And see something
In the line of the face
In the glint of the eyes
The way they hold my attention
And I can connect to that person
They have a secret smile
And use it only for me
And I know they do
I am caught and can,t escape
Don,t want to escape
I have gazed on such a soul mate
And I love her features
Her laugh
Her humour
Her earthiness
Her just being her
My space is filled only with her
My life a vacuum in her absence
I should be happy
Intoxicated, fulfilled
So why does it make me sad?
