Worlds Apart

Pollution choked city
Tinctured with poison
Jammed up cars spewing
Carbon monoxide exhaust
In soot blackened buildings
Pallid, scared faces gaze out
Through streaked grimy windows
With expressions of doubt
They cough and splutter
In the dull light of day
Then wend their way home
Through this urban decay
The scent on the breeze
Mother Nature,s pot-pourri
Birds sing in the trees
And the golden corn sways
In bright white farm cottage
The bumpkin draws n his pipe
And smiles at his lot
And his quality of life
Like chalkand cheese
Like two worlds apart
Which culture is dumb?
Which culture is smart?
