The time between the years gets shorter as we age
the restless prophets of our youth are now the wise old sages,
Some died the victim of a bottle, a needle or a gun,
Those restless prophets of our youth left only tunes to hum.
So who needs hero's anyway? Daddies a hero every day, and like it or not there is a time when magic stops, So who needs hero's anyway?
Students marched , they grew their hair, bleached levi's in the sun, but when they had played their student games the gods of money won.
Dylan sang a protest song, just like a rolling stone, and Lennon read a book on Marx and made New York his home,
So who needs Hero's anyway, Mummies a Hero every day, so like it or not there's a time when magic stops, who needs hero's anyway?
Yet if we played a waiting game, be it for fortune or for fame. Hero's like stars do rise and fall. Life makes a hero of us all!
