I ran as fast as I could, but I just didn't get away on time... they caught me, they locked me up in a room which was almost in darkness, with loads of other people all crammed together in the small, enclosed space. None of us knew where we were, or why we were even there. I shouted for my mum incase she was there too, but the only reply I heard was from the man stood next to me.
"Your mum ain't here hon" he whispered gently.
"But..."
"Sorry Kiddo. It's just us lot." I was so confused, obviously these people had been here a long time, the smell was atrosious and the growl from their stomachs were slowly getting louder.
"H..How long have you been here?" I asked nervously.
"A few days..." he replied weakly
"Why are we here? You must be starving!"
"Nahh, they feed us, don't you worry about that. And I don't know, they don't really speak to us... they push the food through that flap in the door and go..."
"Who are they?"
"God knows..." The room went silent after this. Footsteps could be heard along the corridor, getting closer and closer to the door. My heart started racing but when I looked round at the other people, they didn't seem bothered at all... The door clicked, the handle was turning, by this time everyone was anxiously staring at the door. The door creaked open and a tall, dark man stood in the doorway...
"Cian?" He boomed in a deep, Australian voice. "Is Cian O'Donnell here?"
"Yes.." I whispered. "That's me..."
