the germans were coldhearted,
they stole from the ghetto of all places
and killed our rabbis
when someone told,
the police were real brutes,
letting everyone off,
even if the Fascists hated the Marxists,
they both seemed to agree...
economic depression was the root of all evil:
hunger, famine, and death...
might as well club the helpless,
