Doors of Summer
By incheon
- 529 reads
the sunshine which bends to spray,
dives through naked space to clothe
or murmur
the shudder of the trees, playing
with shadows themselves, hiding behind
each thing, trying to attain
the identity of being with something
it completely enjoys
as when it is wedded to waves, beams back,
blanks the eye, makes the currents
sigh with amazement at its own brilliance, the
shine shouting into the dash of the
waves onto the shore,
the light dances as fiercely as it once did,
dines upon the trembling waters
with the spangled glitter of a dress,
makes one moment couple another in a
triumph of that something
which is so keen, so rightly made
as to be forever:
we are together with what is around us,
she whispers as sadly made or unmade it may be,
silently seeking the very breath of our happiness
when sunshine made sense,
pulsed with a radiant beauty,
wrapped us with its secure and gracious feeling,
the rhythms of its fingers.
