It's so difficult to hold it in,
like a breath one holds
in
in the dark, holds so tight, knowing:
and trying
not to be rude,
not to say the wrong things,
trying
so deperately to be good,
to be true
in the face of
barbarity,
stupidity, and
sheer
malice.
they treat us worse than
children, hide behind
the flag? all their
misdoings,
one after the other, hidden,
hiding like
an ostrich behind the flag,
ripping off Middle Easterns,
Jews,
blackmailing Asian, minorities,
overcharging
for services -- this is what
Americans feel is owed
them.
They treat us worse than children,
but
I have ceased to care, live
behind an iron
wall,
I'm only selfish because it hurts so
fucking
much to let all this in,
all this hatred,
all this
sheer stupidity
and ignorance, and I just don't want
to
care.
