Cascade Morning
The dark belly
of night
rubbed across
serrated peaks
releasing its bloody contents
like a spilt can
of stain.
I heard beyond the hills
the winds of night fading.
Sitting on the threshold
of this elegance,
watching the withering stars
and the seeping scarlet,
I find myself naked
and with no name.
