The trees rivers oceans and mountains
Their enormity squashes us, smallens us.
‘brings us back down to earth’
With a walk in the country, a look at a tree,
a flower or bird
They don’t have to be there, though they are
We scare her scar her, batter her burn her
Yet she remains, carries on, regardless.
Yes she hurts, feels pain and shows us, but complain?
She does not.
Perhaps we should ‘take a leaf out of her book’
I like that idea however in the real world?
Perhaps not.
