M - Whores, or Fricatrices
By Jack Cade
- 1832 reads
This little fricatrice
before she goes out
to sell herself into the endless tango
applies a heavy layer of cheap make-up
to her crow's footed face
Lipstick, eye shadow, blusher and blood,
her features a meadow of crud
armed and ready to please
all our very decent citizens
Here is my pity. Take my pity.
Please let it be worth something
or my suspicions will all be correct
This little fricatrice
before he lights up
to sell himself into the modern order
applies a heavy layer of cheap make-up
To the fractures in his face
Diction, fantasy, lexicon and blood
his language a legacy of crud
armed and ready to coexist
comfortably with poverty
Here is my shame. Take my shame.
Please let it sell for something
to God or society, or my friends
