In the event of any of the previous twelve
being lost, or taken by grief, or too beautiful,
William Jonathan Menhuin Benthall
will stand in. I have not met him;
I found his bank statement in a library book
I'll wait for him at one of his cashpoints:
Royal Bank of Scotland, South Kensington, London
Barclays, Charing Cross, London
Lloyds TSB, Regent Street, London
HSBC, Dereham Road, Norwich
I'll catch him at the Arts Centre
or the Kensington Arms, and ask him
to remember me. "I burned your bank details,
I was a good citizen, Benthall, a real Englishman."
