SMASHING DOWN THE GATES OF WEDLOCK
In the serenity of darkness,
The still hanging breath of the moon,
We mount our horses
Rebel Beauty &; Eager Diva,
Hush hush, my love,
My elegant deceiver,
We ride out tonight
By the light of la lune,
Like two wings on a moth
Through the winter dawn,
Away from this house,
Away from their scorn
The gates of wedlock are chained by chastity,
The rusted bolts of purity,
We smash them down at a canter,
They clatter betrays
Our escape - the drapes shiver &; part,
The wind bays
Like a wolf at our heels
As we reel from the hand of severity,
My dear, my love, let us fly
Through the forest of ice,
Through the frost
To the morning's entice
Now the prison of commitment
Of promise is far behind,
Our steeds are heaving
With exhaustion, but my dear,
We are free, unbound,
Untied, without fear,
In the boundless canyons of our wild passions,
We wept and pined
For years for these moments,
Those secrets we kept,
Now we ride, side by side,
Driven and windswept
You take me and fill me
With the fruits of your seasons,
Your winter sends glacier fingers
In a ballet 'cross my bosom,
Your spring blooms inside me,
Melts all the parts that were frozen,
Your summer it burns in my blood
As you usher your breeze in,
Your autumn falls breathing
As I lie content and awake,
For pleasure like these
I'd the rest of my time forsake
So we cast aside their warnings,
Our patience was easily overcome,
We bowed to the wilderness within,
The beating drum,
We threw aside the chains
Their society had wrought and spun,
Outcasts, untamed and held
By each other, in the distance, on the run,
But now I haven't seen my blood run,
Not a single drop falls,
Do I sense life beating
Within by walls?
Yes I swell and I carry,
Like the Earth herself,
And you back away
With a dread in your eyes,
I can't say if you'll be gone
Come the next sunrise,
My youth is now fading
And so is my health,
As the burden grows heavy
In my tortured womb,
Visions of wedding cakes
Feasting on groom
The birth is a torment
That beauty cannot heal,
I am weak, exhausted
As I lie creaking on the soil,
Oh child, for the both of us
I have not the strength to toil,
Sex was a lie,
The truth is now revealed,
I shall leave you here
In the bracken and pray,
That somebody finds you
Before you wither and shiver away
