Hangman's Knot

Hangman's Knot.
A realm of distaster.
Where suicides and murders take place.
Given the name for a reason.
Because of the way people die.
Brutally.
Quickly.
Each one counts.
But no one notices.
Becuase of its sinister outcomes.
I had a son.
He had a loving family home.
But he became distraught.
Upset.
For reasons he would not disclose.
So I took the assumption he would get over it.
Fatal mistake.
Two weeks later he went missing.
I was so surprised.
I thought he had more sense.
Until I saw him hanging.
Hanging at Hangman's Knot.
I don't know why he did it.
Perhaps I never will.
But God.
He was only thirteen.
