Shall I say what you'd like to hear ?
Surely as the sun shines,I could;
I have many times in my head;
Alas that my heart does not hear.

Shall I say what you'd like to hear ?
Would it matter if it meant nothing?
Much is hard to verbalise at times,
I know! that's when silence is best.

Oh how I love the rain each drop
Falls through me and I cherish them;
As I do each blade of grass where
I now lay in solitudual bliss,
Like strands of hair,I finger them.

Shall I say what you'd like to hear ?
Would it be of comfort to you ?
Would it ease your weary mind ?
Ok! Hear it if you like,it makes no odds.;
My heart will still not listen.
