Little boy, Little boy
Holding back your cries.
You try to tuck your tears
Under the carpet of your eyes.
Little boy, Little boy
Your eyes begin to burn,
But you’ll hold a grip of steel
As you wear a look so stern.
Little boy, Little boy
The world has taught you wrong.
Just because you shed your tear
Doesn’t mean that you aren’t strong.
And Little boy, Little boy
You needn’t tell a lie.
Who will tell this Little boy that it’s ok to cry?
Little boy, Little boy
You try to prove yourself
To all the shadows lurking,
Hiding high up on the shelf.
Little boy, Little boy
You see a boy so weak,
When really you are oh so wise
To let your feelings speak.
Little boy, Little boy
The world has taught you wrong.
Just because you shed your tear
Doesn’t mean that you aren’t strong.
And Little boy, Little boy
You needn’t tell a lie.
Oh who will tell this Little boy that it’s ok to cry?
