A Political Commentary!

I have heard of Billy Liar,
and the members of his chorus,
but I didn't think they'd ever be in power.

For our DEAR elected members,
who really should be for us,
have turned out to be a really rotten shower.

They should look after finance
for the country as a whole,
but apparently it doesn't work like that!

For the money doesn't roam,
it stays very close to HOME,
in the first or second homestead, but who cares!

An election looms ahead
lots of changes, no more loot.
I am sure that all this uproar will not suit.

I'm not worried, say a few,
for I know just what to do,
I'll take ermine, just you watch me, what a hoot!!
