Another Sock Poem

You can put a sock
On either foot
And that's what it's supposed to do.
The sock it lives
Or dies by its role
Protect the foot, at all costs.
Some socks are old
And these have holes
Like rips, in armour of tin.
These socks are thrown away, of course
Because they can't protect the king.
