Bleed

Hidden among the crowds
are those who aren’t
truly whole
lacking the essence to
make them similar
to everyone else.

Entirety of life
for life
in them
has been altered
simply because the way
they were born.

Mirages of hope
health and grand futures
is that all that can be
seen forward
to those who wander
incomplete.

Occasionally—

Perhaps
the barrier can be jumped
and the restriction given
can be overthrown
and those who were not whole
can be just the same as the rest.

Hope remains
for those who weren’t incomplete.

Internal battle
will prove those
who weren’t whole
and allow them to shine.

Let them be
the same as the rest
no restrictions allowed
who push to prove themselves
no matter the limitations
handicapped on them.

In a battle
to prove themselves
as normal persons
no held back by
not being complete

Among those who are complete
they will be held and seen as the rest.
