On Loan
The room drowns in darkness,
But for the glow from outside,
The echo's of silence are broken,
With each fall and rise,
That breath that you breath,
So hard to hear,
Means so much to a mother,
Whom holds you so dear,
One day you won't need me,
And that's why each night,
I stand and watch over you,
Once I've put out the light.
