She trugged on even when all else seemed quite impossible. She had been abandoned by the whole world. Beads of worry seemed formed on her head and the once beautiful maiden of the village seemed old and used. She was rather conceited and blamed her misfortune on the world...that is what her attitude drummed in her head anyway. Even when all hope seemed lost, she held on so dearly to her lovely son-Desire. She named him thus because she felt he would develop the urge to become the greatest. He was her only source of solace and comfort-he soothed her soul to say the least. Even when she turned around to see the dark past she had walked through, Desire seemed the ultimate light...her way out of the predicament at hand.
The seasons flew by really fast and before she knew it, Namanya realised she had to sail through the dark meeky waters of ensuring he went to school. Thoughts never deserted her. She seemed lost in the wilderness of the mind- a disease of the mind which controls you. Yet she loved it when she sang for Desire the famous 'Kajeru' song. The toddler would just chuckle and laugh so heartily. Little did he know that this very song told of his mother's story and whenever she started to cry, he would look on idiotically and with the innocence of a child console her.
